Senior Pastor Position

Kersey Community Church is seeking a full-time pastor to provide leadership and spiritual guidance alongside the current board of Elders and Deacons who passionately support the church.   

The pastor should be well-versed and educated in the Word of God. He should be ready to continue to grow the church which yearns to bring a message of hope and salvation to the community it serves.   

The senior pastor shall demonstrate Biblical principles as he shepherds the flock of the Kersey Community Church. He shall agree to and demonstrate a commitment to the Articles of Faith* and Bylaws*. He shall oversee the spiritual needs of the congregation, guide and direct the daily duties of the church staff and provide spiritual outreach in the community.

About the Church   

Kersey Community Church is a non-denominational church in the small community of Kersey, Colorado.                                                                                                                                   

Services are held every Sunday following Sunday School classes for all ages. Average attendance at a Sunday morning service is currently 250 to 300. Music is an integral part of the ministry of Kersey Community Church and consists of hymns, praise band, choir, and occasional special music.    

In addition to Sunday services the church has activities/programs for all ages:   

  • AWANA

  • Vacation Bible School  

  •  Weekly Bible Studies   

  • Adult small groups  

  • Youth Group   

  • Ladies Luncheon   

  • Clothing and Food banks  

  • Children’s church and children’s message  

Church staff includes the Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, a Christian Education Coordinator, Youth Group leader, and part-time office staff.   

The main church facility includes the sanctuary (capacity 350), large Commons Area, three offices, a conference room, two classrooms, a small food bank and clothing bank area.  

 In addition, the church has a large multi-purpose building with several classrooms, a kitchen, and gym area. The church also owns a parsonage in Kersey.  

The church is financially sound and has no debt.   

 

About the Community 

  

Kersey is a small, quiet town on the plains of Northern Colorado. It is centrally located with easy access to Denver and many mountain towns and resorts. Kersey is home to many multi-generational residents who work on family farms or in local businesses and to many who seek a small-town lifestyle for their families.   

Kersey, with a population of 1500, is located about 10 miles east of Greeley, (population 110,000) and approximately one hour from Denver and Denver International Airport. The mountain town of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park are a short drive west, which makes an easy day trip for hiking, camping, or shopping.   

Kersey has one of the most sought-after school districts in Northern Colorado with its strong educational, athletic, and vocational programs.
